Pete Nikolai

Pete started working for Thomas Nelson’s sales department as a telemarketer before stepping up to field and key account sales. In 2000, he launched and managed the Backlist Development department at Thomas Nelson which created many bestselling products based on previously published content. After Backlist Development, Pete became a Group Publisher and managed several product groups within Nelson from 2004-2005.

From 2005-2009, Pete was responsible for the continued development, improvement, and implementation of the publishing process for all of Thomas Nelson. In 2009, he created HCCP’s WestBow Press and helped lead the division which focuses on providing self-publishing services to aspiring authors.

Pete’s latest project, Elm Hill, is the first self-publishing option of its kind. With Elm Hill, Pete is set to establish a revolutionary system that will change the course of the publishing industry by leading self-publishing authors down many of the same paths that traditional authors take, bringing the former closer to their publishing dreams.
